UNITS COMMAND AUTOCAD, DRAWING UNITS DIALOG BOX AUTOCAD

1.) How to access UNITS command in autocad?

• Type and Enter UN in command
• Type and Enter UNITS in command
• Format à UNITS (Menu bar)

(you will get Drawing units Dialog box)

2. LENGTH SECTION IN DRAWING UNITS DIALOG BOX:

2a.) Type à To set the LENGTH Input types

• Architectural à 
• Decimal à 
• Engineering à 
• Fractional à 
• Scientific à 

2b.) Precision à To set Maximum decimal places

If we are going to draw some object at 5.05mm length, then, Precision is 0.00

3. ANGLE SECTION IN DRAWING UNITS DIALOG BOX:

3a.) Type à To set the ANGLE Input types

90° can be say as in

• Decimal Degrees à 90
• Deg/Min/Sec à 90d
• Grads à 99.99999g
• Radians à 1.57r
• Surveyor's Unit à N 0d W

3b.) Precision à To set Maximum decimal places (same as length precision)

If we are going to draw some object at an angle of  35.5°, then Precision is 0.0

4. INSERTION SCALE SECTION IN DRAWING UNITS DIALOG BOX

To set the inserting object scale as Millimeter/ Centimeter/ Meter/ etc
Ex. Image object
